Mountaineer GameDay debuts Saturday – West Virginia University Athletics


MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Brace yourself basketball fans: West Virginia’s funniest pre-game show returns this weekend.

A new season of Mountaineer GameDay: Hoops Edition will begin on Saturday, January 8. Live pre-game shows will air every Saturday morning until the end of the WVU men’s basketball season.

Mountaineer GameDay is the state’s only live pre-game TV show for WVU hoops. The program, which is co-hosted by broadcasters Gold and Blue Nation Angelica Trinone and Nick farrell, prepares you to receive news with game previews, recent game highlights, coach and player interviews and more.

WVU Sports Hall of Fame member Warren Baker will also be joining the show every weekend to bring you analysis on the upcoming game and its keys to a Mountaineer victory.

Mountaineer GameDay airs every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. on the following Nexstar stations in West Virginia and Maryland:

  • WBOY (Clarksburg)
  • WOWK (Charleston)
  • WVNS (Beckley)
  • WTRF (wheel)
  • WDVM (Hagerstown)

Mountaineer GameDay will also air on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh every Saturday at 10:30 am. Check your local TV shows for details on availability in your hometown.

When we say the gameday starts with Gold and Blue Nation, we really mean it: between The Bob huggins Affiliates Show and Mountaineer GameDay, Gold and Blue Nation air 90 minutes of pre-game basketball programming every Saturday morning.
